Students from Douglas Elementary will perform an excerpt of “The Skies Can’t Keep Their Secrets” at a workshop at CMEA (Colorado Music Educator’s Association).  Katie regrets not being able to attend - she’s getting married that day!  Best wishes to the students!!

The Boulder Valley All-District choir performed “The Skies Can’t Keep Their Secrets.”

The choir and handbell choir at Superior Elementary School performed “The Skies Can’t Keep Their Secrets,” a piece for two-part choir and handbells written for the students.

Operation Cadence has commissioned Katie to write a piece for a CD collection of music for runners.

Chamber Ensemble con Grazia

commissioned a second work, Juxt, for violin, cello and piano.  The piece was premiered as part of their Little Noon Music Series and featured a great talkback with the composer.

Katie workshopped “Murder Scene” as part of CU NOW (New Opera Workshop).  Click here to watch the performance of Katie’s first opera scene.

Soprano Angela Born and the CU Wind Symphony, under the direction of Will Kinne, premiered Katie’s “The heavens declare” in Macky Auditorium, Boulder, CO.

Katie graduated with a Master’s in Music in Composition from the University of Colorado Boulder.
